Statement of Purpose

My professional journey has been defined by more than eighteen years of executive leadership and entrepreneurship across the education, agribusiness, and consumer sectors in Brazil. As Co-Founder and Finance & Administration Director of multiple institutions, including colleges and schools, I oversaw financial strategy, compliance, and operations, always emphasizing technology and innovation to strengthen decision-making. Later, I diversified my business activities by purchasing farmland, where I planted coffee and macadamia and created an industry to produce bottled water. I also opened a specialty coffee shop, where I personally designed the menu, created marketing materials, and developed operational processes. These experiences sharpened my skills in finance, administration, and project management, while also teaching me how vision, creativity, and data-driven analysis can turn ideas into successful enterprises.

In the short-term, my objective is to acquire the advanced technical knowledge and analytical skills necessary to meet the challenges of today's business environment. Companies generate enormous volumes of data, and I believe the ability to transform this data into actionable insights is critical to competitiveness. Suffolk's MSBA curriculum, with courses such as Data Analytics with Python, Enterprise Data Management, and Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning, will provide me with the tools to analyze information accurately and respond to business challenges with speed and precision. The capstone course, Data Mining to Business Insights, particularly excites me, as it offers the opportunity to apply classroom learning to complex real-world problems. Equally important, I look forward to Suffolk's collaborative learning environment, where I can exchange experiences, benchmark practices with peers, and build a strong professional network.

In the long-term, I aspire to return to entrepreneurship, creating a business that not only generates value but also delivers purpose to society. Having co-founded and managed institutions that educated thousands of students, I understand how business can impact communities positively. My next venture will focus on building an enterprise that leverages advanced analytics to drive sustainable growth and innovation. Electives such as Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, and Storytelling and Advanced Digital Analytics will strengthen my ability to design data-driven strategies and lead organizations that are agile, resilient, and impactful.

Ultimately, Suffolk University's MSBA program offers the perfect balance of rigorous technical training and practical business application. It will allow me to combine my entrepreneurial background with cutting-edge analytics, positioning me to thrive in a world where data is the foundation of decision-making. I am confident that Suffolk will provide not only the academic preparation but also the environment and network I need to achieve my professional goals of becoming a successful entrepreneur and creating businesses that contribute meaningfully to society.
